He had always wanted to be a warrior. The Rangers, with their dark cloaks and shadowy ways, made him nervous. The villagers believe the Rangers practice magic that makes them invisible to ordinary people. And now fifteen year-old Will, always small for his age, has been chosen as a Ranger’s apprentice. What he doesn’t realize yet is that the Rangers are the protectors of the kingdom. Highly trained in the skills of battle and surveillance, they fight the battles before the battles reach the people. And as Will is about to learn, there is a large battle brewing. The exiled Morgarath, Lord of the Mountains of Rain and Night, is gathering his forces for an attack on the kingdom. This time, he will not be denied . . .

That's the back cover description from the first book, The Ruin of Gorlan, it's great!! The 8th is probably my fav...

I love this series!!! I've got the entire series. Including 10, which came out last year in Australia. I really want 11 to be published, apparently it's coming out this year but there's no info in it yet.

* MAJOR SPOILER ALERT*
From the 10th...
Don't forget HORACEXEVANLYN :)
One of the reasons why I want the 11th out, well maybe the main reason.
I really want to see their party/wedding...

Dude, I swear this is one of the best book series ever :D

SPOILER ALERT:
I love all the pairings.
WillXAlyss
HoraceXEvanlyn
HaltXPauline

and whoever else :D :D :D

And now I have to desperately wait out the next book... :P

On a side note, my favourite book is the 4th, but only once you've read through the beginning bit. Once Halt and Will reunite is where I like it from :P

@Nightmare: Several bookcases? I could really do with that..... I have one big one which is about to collapse under the weight of my hundred-and-something books

*gasp* Just realised there is now a reply button AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE!!!

@Cyn: I just put any books that don't fit on the bookcase on the floor, not nice treatment for books but at least their not gathering dust on someone elses shelf.....

I think we're getting a little off topice here

I had to get another bookcase recently due to the sheer number of books around my room... The entire bedrooms slowly being devoured by books :)

Let's see, on topic...
What's you favourite/s? Mine are the Oakleaf bearers and the Ruins of Gorlan...
