Just finished the copy edit on Dreadnought which once again highlighted my tempestuous relationship with punctuation. I’m a fan of the “throw lots of them in some are bound to end up in the right place” technique when it comes to commas and I pity Helen and Isabel who have had to go through trying to make sense of my shotgun approach to punctuation.
I’ve had a few people mail me over the past couple of weeks asking about the publication date for Escape Velocity in America and Canada. We’re still trying to find a publisher for the third (and fourth) books on the other side of the pond and as soon as I hear anything I’ll make a post on here to let everyone know what’s happening. In the meantime do please feel free to bombard your favourite American publishers with suggestion that they ought to pick the books up
Anyway, back to book five……
Mark

How come Simon & Schuster, Inc. isn’t going to publish it for America or Aladdin Paperbacks? I just started the seriers about a month ago and finished the first two books I was mad to see that the next books aren’t here in America yet. By the way Mark Walden, the way you describe everything is amazing! I wish I had that much talent. I hope that these become movies in the near future!
Thanks CJ, glad you’re enjoying the books. Paramount currently have the option to develop movies based on the books so keep watching this space…
Mark
Hi Mark, I know that I might be asking for a lot, but I would like to ask a couple of questions about you, because I am doing a project for school and was hoping that you could give me some answers. First of all, I would like Life Facts (birth, birthplace, and where you live currently). Second, Family Facts (parents, siblings, wife, children). Third, Education ( schools attended, degrees received). Fourth, Career (jobs, books, any writings, awards, inspirations). Fifth, Hobbies (what you do for fun(beside writing)/your likes and dislikes). And Lastly, if you have a quote that you use, that would be helpful.
Thank you in advance,
CJ
Totally with you on the punctuation thing
