  1. has anyone else read the book White Fang by Jack London?? he wrote call of the wild too, and White Fang is a brilliant book so far...

  2. i love that book. its relly touching. it made me cry.

  3. That book is oldish isn't it? Or am I confuseing it with another one?

No I haven't read it. Heard of it, but never read it.

@Cat Royal- I looked for the Cat Royal books at the bookstore but I couldn't find them. Is it a British or American author?

  4. yeah, jack london wrote them ages ago...

  5. oh ok thats why. I prefer newer books.

  6. @shadow julia golding is the authors name and she is english. she actually grew up near this place where i used to live.
here is a link to amazon.its where i get most of my books (coz im always broke lol) maybe your mum has an account?
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_6?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=cat+royal+series&sprefix=cat+ro
oh, im so glad your reading, or going to read the books. they really are brilliant. and i would advise you to get it in audio book if possible (read by finty williams) it really brings the characters to life.

  7. It looks like I will have to order them. And yeah I'll read pretty much anything people recommand to me, or even if they just happen to mention that they like a certain book, chances are I'll read it.

  8. cool.
hmmm. have you read alpha force by chris ryan?
    they are really good.
    i recommend them.
oh about the recommending thing...same here!!

  9. I will be reading them now

And I have to recommend, *considers, looks at pile of current books* Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. Its really good, although I think you need to have a certain taste in books, if that makes any sense, to like this book. It's fantasy, and a love story, but it also has some stuff about the American Civil War, although its present day. I don't know if you like that kind of thing. I haven't finished it though so I don't know if it has a lame ending or not.

  10. ok. i'll look for it.
i have a pile of about 20 books waiting for me at the library. cant wait to get to them lol.

  11. Nice I am reading about 15 books right now, except I prefer to own them.

  12. lol same here but sometimes they turn out crap, so its a waste of cash. you get me?

  13. Yeah I know what you mean. I do have quite a large collection of unfinished books, but I have even more that I love and constantly reread (HIVE for example) and also many that I really like.

  14. yeah, my collection of books is : H.I.V.E, cherub, hendersons boys, percy jackson, the spooks (anyone read them?) artemis fowl, twilight. and i have some old classics like anne of green gables and the chalet school books (anyone read them?) oh i have loads of horse facts books (you know the breeds and stuff) and i have some of the silver brumby books.....wait loads of how to draw manga books and some other how to draw books, a few cookbooks (alot lol)
    and thats about it.

  15. I have to many books to name lol. I have read some that you named though, like HIVE and Twilight, I'm reading Percy Jackson, and I really want to read Cherub, everyone seems to like them, but I can't find them. It's another British author isn't it?

You don't own the Cat Royal Books? You seemed to really like them.

  16. oh yeah the cat royal books, lol, i cant believe i forgot to mention them. yes them too. lol.
and you definately have to read cherub

  17. I know but I've been to like 5 different bookstores and I can't find them! Unless I'm just missing them, which I guess is a possibility. But it looks like I'm going to have to order Cherub and Cat Royal off of amazon or something. *sighs*

I have quite a lot of books to read now. *laughs* There are a ton of new releases at the bookstore that I want to read. Have you ever heard of Fallen? I want to read it. And have you ever read the Hungar Games? The third book has a title and a cover now. So excited!

    Wow. I typed a lot.

  18. yeah you typed alot. lol.
im not syre about the fallen. is it part of a series?
theres this series im reading by p.c and kristen cast. its not great and that sounds like one of their titles.
my sister told me this weird fact a while ago. some ppl said that if you read more then 4 books, i repet 4 books in a year then you are ready for higher education. i don't know what im ready for. lol. my estimate is about 3 hundred or more books a year. so where am i. lol
books to me are like food. i cant live without them.

  19. Books are my life.

Only four books? That's- kind of worrying.

    I don't think it's part of a series.

I think i know what you're reading. House of Night? I almost read them. I guess it isn't worth it. No, I don't think it's by them.

  20. I read the House of Night because I was morbidly curious. I stopped when Loran died because he was the only motivation to keep reading after the first book. It was almost as bad as Twilight. And I say almost because Loran was cool.

  21. the books are rather stupid but when you've read all of the good books then you have to go down the ladder a bit lol. unfortunately thats where im going.
@shadow i agree its very worrying lol.

  22. If only the good authors could write new books faster lol.

  23. ya if only

  24. It would make life so much better lol. A lot of the books I read are part of a series and there is like 5 or 6 months until the new books. It's terrible. But even just waiting for new books by authors I like is bad.

  25. AGREED!!!! that is so true. do you know whats worse? reading a the last book in a series by an author you love and then the ending is rubbish.
that is the worst thing ever.

  26. Oh I know!! Or, how about a series starts out really good, but gets worse and worse as the books go on.

Or an author writes one good series, but the next series is terrible.

  27. yes yes yes yes yes!!! very dissapointing *frowns* i generally go hunting after a book like that *grins evilly*

  28. Do you keep reading the books anyway, even if they're getting lame, or do you just stop?

  29. um. it depends..... sometimes there is something that i want to find out about the characters, then i carry on reading. if there is no reason to continue.....shrugs....*whispers* target practice. lol. *evil grin*

  30. *laughs* Same. Or sometimes I'll stop for awhile, then go back to the book after a week, or month, two months, it depends. That's what I did with Inkheart. Took me about a year before I finally forced myself to finish. Still haven't read the sequals. *shrugs* I know Inkheart isn't lame, a lot of people like it, but it wasn't my favorite.
