   All right, so I was thinking that, eventually, we are going to have some problems remembering things about the characters in the role play. In order to keep the Roleplay on topic I thought that we could leave any questions we had pertaining to the characters here for the person who plays them to answer. As it is, though, a general outline of your current OCs, and any new ones that are added later, should be offered for everyone to see. It's simply general information that, if a person asked, HIVEmind could provide.

   I'll go first so that you get the idea.

   Wow, Amaya...I like the claustrophobia part of your character; it makes her seem real (and it reminds me of Storm from the X-Men!!).
   I was thinking of trying my hand at 'properly written' fanfiction (i.e. not what I do for the convos) for HIVE and I will (as always) need some OCs. If you wouldn't mind, I'd like your permission to use a character similar to the first one you've described (with a few alterations of course, you know, like a new name and that fact that I have no clue what the PANDORA Laboratory is- though, I can guess that fairly simply, just not the details) for a fanfiction.
   If you would, that would be very generous of you and I would make sure to credit you for her creation/inspiration (it might depend on how much I'll have to change her to fit the context of the story).
   Would you be so willing, Amaya?

   Don't worry. People seem to like borrowing Amaya. Amarissia was the first and then a few others. I have a small collection now of FFVII-Turk!Amayas. ^-^ Now I'm going to have a HIVE version of her. Lol. I'm just glad people don't think she's a Mary Sue.

   I would die if one of my OC's would be considered that. I try and make them as human as possible by basing them off of a few like-minded people to create a new being entirely.
   As well as accentuate some traits to make them seem a little...'super-human' comes to mind but would be a bad choice. A little larger than life, I suppose would have to do.
   I'd just hate to see all that time and effort down the drain when people see them as Mary Sues...

   No kidding. Mary Sues kinda scare me. I'd hate to find out that one of my characters was one and work as much as I can to keep them away from the Mary Sue end of the spectrum.

    A character created for either a fanfiction or original (as original as they can get) story that has almost no discernible flaws about them, that everyone loves, and that (usually) saves the day whilst causing it (usually on accident) in the first place.
    Pretty much...a piece of crap character that everyone NOT in the story HATES and pelts the author with tomatoes for creating.

    XD Pretty much every character from Twilight, Amaya.
    Except maybe Jacob...quite possibly even Alice or Victoria...but in the end, she somehow ruined them...
    That's one thing she can say that no other author can say (except maybe crappy fanfiction writers); that she was able to take perfectly good characters with about as much potential as that of an actual human being and bring 'em down a couple billion pegs by smushing their faces in patented 'SMeyer Type Story-Telling.'

    I think it came from a Star Trek fanfic that was parodying the Mary Sues of the time with the character 'Lt. Mary Sue.'

    This is taken from Wikipedia so I can't say whether or not it's credible.

    "The term "Mary Sue" is taken from a character created by Paula Smith in 1973 for her parody story "A Trekkie's Tale,"[5] published in her fanzine Menagerie #2.[6] The character in question was Lieutenant Mary Sue ("the youngest Lieutenant in the fleet — only fifteen and a half years old"). Smith's story poked fun at unrealistic and adolescent wish-fantasy characters in Star Trek fan fiction.
